This piece is trying to say that nothing can stop you, so just keep moving on with you life. For example, don't let anybody hurt you, keep you from doing your dream, and that you can do anything you want to do. This piece is significant to this era because Martin Luther King Jr. is trying to say that people can be who they want without getting hurt, discriminated, or getting segregated by someone because of who they are or who they want to be.
This piece is trying to say that we shouldn't have segregation in the nation. That one day we will all join together to become a big nation, that EVERYBODY has equal rights. This piece is significant to this era because before Civil Rights, we had segregation, so we were separated. Some people didn't like segregation, like Martin Luther King Jr. so he wanted to stop it with making a speech. For that everybody will agree with him, that everybody have equal rights.
This piece is trying to say that don't think too much of your own problems because then you won't make any progess. So, then you are not helping anybody with their life or your life. This is significant to this era because it's talking about having rights with the public places. Before, Civil Rights their was not any rights.
